SUS-MIRRI.IT

The SUS-MIRRI.IT project's primary objective is to strengthen the MIRRI-IT Research Infrastructure, the Italian network of microbial collections within the Microbial Resource Research Infrastructure (MIRRI-ERIC). MIRRI-ERIC is the pan-European infrastructure responsible for the conservation, analysis, provision, and valorization of microbial resources and biodiversity (www.mirri.org). Its main objectives are: strengthening scientific instrumentation for microbial conservation and characterization; hiring highly qualified personnel (11 TD - CNR); creating the Italian Platform of Microbial Collections; conserving and reusing microbiomes in diverse ecosystems; genotypic and phenotypic characterization of strains of interest; improving the quality of Microbial Collections; and designing MIRRI-IT services based on the partners' expertise and genetic resources.
